Kings and Queens Chess Academy LLC ("CKQ") is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for every student, ages 5–18. Child safety is not a checkbox for us — it is a core part of how we hire, train, and operate.
All CKQ coaches and staff who work with students are subject to:
We will never knowingly employ a person with a history of harm to children in any role that involves student contact.
All group online classes are conducted with multiple students present simultaneously. No coach conducts a private one-on-one video call with a student in the context of a group class session.
Online private lessons are conducted as one-on-one video sessions between a coach and a student. This format is disclosed to parents at the time of private class enrollment and requires explicit acceptance. We recommend that a parent or guardian be present in the room or nearby during private online lessons, particularly for younger students.
Coaches are instructed to behave professionally at all times during private sessions, as if a parent were present and observing.
Students and parents may not record class sessions without prior written permission from CKQ. CKQ may record sessions for internal quality review; when sessions are recorded, participants will be notified in advance.
Coaches are not permitted to share their personal contact information (personal phone, personal email, personal social media) with students. All coach-to-student communication takes place through CKQ-managed channels.
Student personal information is used solely to deliver chess education services. We do not use student data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of program delivery. We do not sell student data. For complete details, see our Privacy Policy and our COPPA compliance section therein.
During classes, camps, tournaments, or any CKQ event, students and parents agree to:
Parents are responsible for supervising their child's online activity, particularly for younger students participating in online classes from home.
If you observe or experience behavior that concerns you — whether from a coach, staff member, student, or parent — please report it immediately:
Email: admin@chesskq.com
Subject line: "Safety Concern"
All safety reports are taken seriously and reviewed within 24 hours on business days. Reports may be submitted anonymously. We will investigate every report and take appropriate action, up to and including termination of a coach or student's enrollment.
If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement (911) first.
CKQ complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). In plain language, this means:
For complete COPPA details, see Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.
